Whom did Watson marry?
Bonus (and I'm leaving this one open till someone gets it): Watson plainly tells us that he earned a doctorate in medicine. And yet, on one occasion, Holmes says to him that he did not have the legal right to go by the title "Doctor" since he had only a bachelor's in medicine. Why did Arthur Conan Doyle put such obviously false words in Holmes' mouth?

Miss Mary Morstan, whom he met during the Sign of Four case.
As to the bonus, I'm working on it!

You are correct on the main question, and we await yours.
The bonus, as I said, remains open. Feel free to cut in with that answer any time.

Tegid, in regards to your first bonus question, THE woman is Irene Adler, the only one to put one over on Holmes. (really well too!!)

Hall Pycroft worked for Coxon & Woodhouse before they let him go with a glowing recommendation.
And, yes, she was Irene Adler Norton.

As I head out the door for jury duty ...
What was Jabez Wilson's qualification for the job of copying out pages from the encyclopedia for 4 pounds a week?

He had fiery red hair, just the right shade, as well as a shop really near the bank that his assistant wants to rob.

That spy lived on Godolphin Street in Westminster ... when he wasn't living as Henri Fournaye with his wife in France.
