And specifically in the stone wall of that garden.
Ah, it's your turn, debinoxford, to ask a question --

Well, it's been 3 days, so I'll toss out another one.
Why was Louise the Larger so fond of the twins?

Because the twin's had raised her since she was a tiny snake.

No, it has something to do with her calling, and what she knew about what they would be.

Another hint: It was Blajeny who told Calvin and Meg the reason, as they were leaving the garden that first night.

I'll take the answer to any one of the following questions (three of which are unanswered questions from earlier this month):
On what planet did Aunt Beast live?
How did Calvin and Meg communicate with each other in the mitochondrion?
What thing on Camazotz did Meg think seemed like the way something would have been on the 2-D world they had accidentally stopped at?
Name two people in the Time Quartet (A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, and Many Waters), where one person verbally declares love for another, and the other immediately replies with a verbal declaration of love for the first.
Why was Louise the Larger so fond of the twins?

Calvin and Megs communicated by kything while in the mitochondrion. kything is pure emotional telepathy.
Louise was a Teacher in the manner that Blageny was. She would be the twin's Teacher someday (though that never turns up in a different book, but thats ok).

Woo-hoo! (to quote my sis-in-law) The thread isn't dead!
Yes, kything is how a whole lot of communicating is done in a couple of those books.
(As for the twins, it is that they themselves would one day be Teachers. We aren't told that Louise would be their Teacher.)
A point for you, and please ask a question! (Gentle reminder: The clock is ticking on this thread -- it expires next Wednesday night!)

Hmm. Let's see if we can get a few more rounds in on this thread.
Where did Meg, Calvin, and Charles Wallace get their first glimpse of the shadowy evil that Mr. Murry was fighting?

When they were 'tessaracted' through the darkness surrounding Camazotz...

No, sorry, it was earlier than that.
