What sparked the Jedi Civil War?
(I can ask a different question if these are supposed to be restricted to the six movies)

Hmmmmm. Tough question since I haven't read any of the books not pertaining to the movies. My guess would be that it had something to do with dealing with the Sith though.

Following the end of the Mandalorian War, Revan and Malek turned to the darkside and convinced many Jedi to join them, which touched off a war between these "Sith" and the Jedi.
(Ideally the questions are suppossed to come from the movies.)

This one is film related though not within the context of the story.
What was the original fate scripted for Lando and the Falcon during the final raid on the Death Star?
(If that's too obscure I can come up with another one... just trying to think outside the box a bit.)

I'm going to guess that they were going to ram the core with the ship destroying both the deathstar and themselves?

Weren't they the ones who were supposed to swoop in and fire the killing shot?

You're all right to a certain extent. Originally, the duo was supposed to go up in flames and not make it out of the Death Star alive. If you watch the classic trilogy (pre-Special Editions) there's a scene just before they escape where you see Lando and that weird alien guy look at each other like they know they're toast. There's also an earlier scene where Han says he has a funny feeling he's never going to see the Falcon again. Early test audience for "Jedi" were enraged by the Falcon's destruction so it was pulled out.
Anyway you're all right (death and destruction) so Danath, you're up.
